Dandan Gu
Dandan Gu studied Visual Communication Design at the Alberta University of the Arts and Marketing at USST, Shanghai. With her multicultural background, she loves blending culture and art in her work. She’s passionate about sharing contemporary art, Chinese calligraphy, and ink art with diverse audiences while fostering human connections. She also enjoys illustrating everyday moments with the people and cats around her.

Poppy Ghasemi
Poppy is a PhD candidate in Religion and History at the University of Calgary. With a BA in Museum Studies from Iran and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Manitoba, she researches neglected identities of children in the past. She has worked as a program educator and designed educational programs for children and youth in Iran, Turkey, and Canada, delivering them in English, French, Farsi, and Turkish. She enjoys cooking and chess.

Yilu Xing
Yilu Xing is an artist-educator with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alberta University of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta, specializing in Printmaking. She has received grants and scholarships from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council to support her research on culinary traditions within immigrant families and the ways participatory art can build connection, memory, and dialogue. Her work spans installations engaging people’s stories, collaborative public art projects, prints, ceramics, and performance. She has taught art courses at the University of Alberta and remains passionate about supporting others in their creative work.
